MISSION STATEMENT:

MRA is an inter-disciplinary, professional organization committed to promoting best practices in rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and to supporting professionals in the field. This mission is accomplished through inter-disciplinary communication, educational activities, legislative activity, and organizational growth and development.

 WELCOME TO MRA!

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as Maryland Rehabilitation Association (MRA) President for the 2013 term. Having had the opportunity to observe the membership and to personally witness the camaraderie, devotion, and genuine commitment, I look forward to being part of another successful year and the upcoming annual MRA/DORS Conference. In keeping with the MRA mission, I also look forward to a continuation of the activities supported over the years by MRA and in meeting the vision of increased student attendance, membership, and participation in the annual conferences.

Membership in the Maryland Chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association provides many opportunities for professional involvement and development. MRA is active in state and national advocacy, continuing education, leadership activities in the field of rehabilitation, and the promotion of ethical best practices.

We invite you to take the time to explore our website and become familiar with the resources available to you. The website provides information about membership, upcoming events, staff development activities, the annual training conference, board meeting minutes as well as links to other related websites.

I wish to extend a special thank you to our current members for your contributions and support of the MRA. We encourage new membership and look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Janet "Denise" Spry President
