MRA is an inter-disciplinary, professional organization committed to promoting best practices in rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and to supporting professionals in the field. This mission is accomplished through inter-disciplinary communication, educational activities, legislative advocacy, and organizational growth and development.

Thank you for visiting the Maryland Rehabilitation Association web site. Since its founding in 1950, MRA has functioned as an interdisciplinary, professional organization with a mission to promote best practices in rehabilitation and to support professionals in the field. We believe that skilled rehabilitation professionals provide a meaningful service and do make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities every day. As such, we challenge ourselves as an organization to facilitate the continual development of a cutting -edge workforce through a variety of activities including:

• Sponsorship of professional development opportunities
• Organization of networking activities
• Promotion of ethical best practices
• Advocacy for laws that support licensure of skilled rehabilitation professionals

Additional legislative advocacy and actions on local, state and national levels allow us to promote legislation that advances the rights and full inclusion of people with disabilities in employment and all areas of life.
