Why Should I Join the MRA?

Membership in the Maryland Chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) provides many opportunities for professional involvement and development. Since its founding in 1950, the MRA has been active in state and national advocacy, continuing education and leadership activities in the field of rehabilitation.

The MRA has enjoyed a long-term collaboration with the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS). Each fall MRA and DORS co-sponsor a two-day training conference that draws rehabilitation professionals from around the state. Attendees learn about innovations in the field of rehabilitation from experts from around the state, region, and country.

The MRA also sponsors workshops around the state for rehabilitation professionals. These workshops are designed to enhance professional development and offer continuing education credits to attendees.
